Error: Couldn't find object '<filename>' (due to file without extension).
Error:
Couldn't find object '<object name>'
Cause:
This error occurs when importing a Paradox table, and is because the file to be imported does not have a file extension. Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem with Access 7.0 at this point.
Solution:
Add a file extension, such as .DB, to the Paradox file.
To add a file extension:
1) Open Windows Explorer:
a) Click 'Start' todisplay the Windows 'Start' menu.
b) Select 'Programs' from the menu. (A submenu appears.)
c) Select 'Windows Explorer' from the submenu. (The Exploring window appears.)
2) In the 'Exploring' window, locate the Paradox file:
a) Select the drive where the file is located.
b) Select the folder that contains the file. (The file appears in the Exploring window.)
NOTE: If the file is in a subfolder, continue selecting folders until the file is displayed.
3) Select the Paradox file. (The file is highlighted.)
4) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Rename'.
5) Add .DB to the end of the filename.
6) Press ENTER.
